Tom Simard

Poetry, Music, and Prose

Author’s Profile

Thomas Simard was born somewhere at sometime in the past, not the future, which I imagine will come as relief to all. He’s always had a love of books, languages, and cultures.

While he probably missed his calling as a contortionist or at least a typist with an extraordinary dexterity on the Selectric, the profession he has chosen has fortunately given him plenty of time to write novels and poetry.

  1. You left out the part about how you were raised by wolves (albeit highly literate ones). To me, that’s the most exciting part of the bio!

  2. “I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness….”

I don’t know I thought having wolves and contortionists in the same bio might put some people off. For reasons unknown to me, people have a low opinion of circus people, and don’t get me started on the wolf propangada which seems to have been around since time immemorial.

By the way, speaking of Ginsberg, for my money, America is the best thing he ever wrote. Instead of the Pledge of Allegiance I’d have US schoolchildren reciting this:
