Book 11

“And then they captured a chariot with its riders,
the bravest men from Percote, the two sons of Merops,
an excellent prophet; he had forbidden his sons
to go to the war.  But they would not listen to him,
because the spirits of death were driving them onward.”
(11.310-314)
