Number 9 in Rock (Folk/Pop) is Jorma Kaukonen’s Quah.
It’s a great song. The whole album is well worth listening to:
Nice song! I hadn’ t heard of him. The intro reminds me of Simon & Garfunkel.
Glad you like it! Absoloutely love his guitar playing.
Quah was Jorma’s first solo album. He’d been lead guitarist with Jefferson Airplane.
So many similar tastes! Jorma takes me back to Hot Tuna days. Have always tried to keep up w/ him, but apparently missed this – will get to downloading this song as well as others soon! Thanks for the post, Tom. On another note, I had fun making my “Tail Feathers” canvas for my recent post. Instead to just taking a photo of a mallard duck, I decided to get some other creative juices flowing. Thanks for that “like” as well as on “Goat’s Eye” and “Mums the Word”.
Love, love, LOVE this album, esp Genesis (in fact, you may have posted that somewhere. My brother has a t-shirt simply titled “JORMA”. Think I steal it! Thanks for liking “Regal” and “Barred Owl in the Bog” – talk about being one w/ nature. Later!
It’s a great album. Yes, a wonderful song.
I was fortunate to see Jorma and Jack Casady live in 1976.
