Ever since I can remember, I have been reading.  On those rare occasions when a winter storm caused the elecricity to go out, I used candlelight.

    I did not find your book on Amazon – where is it? is it there now? I am all equipped with Kindle… Not finding you I got Leopardi and Petrarca instead. You’ll be in good company…!

    I haven’t published it yet. I’m still in what has proven to be the painfully slow process of checking it for typos. Who would have known there could be so many? It’ll be available sometime this month.

    You are right about reading –Brel to Eliot, Van Loon to Gombricht, Kafka to Kafka, all good in their time –words are the first paths to getting to others’ thinking. math and art arrive later if at all. Thanks for another like.

    Thanks for the like. I read your novel. I liked it, once I shifted gears out of my usual end-the-day book fare, that is. And that fare is detective fiction where I suffer the language for the sake of plot. Reading “Jean D.” was worthy in and of itself, that and the sense of place–from intimate rooms to vast landscapes–and character–from mentors to mobs, dictators and dogs. These were more than enough compensation for the lack of a good-guy-kills-bad-guy finale.
